My aciento was runny and I followed the recipe. Was I not supposed to add all the shortening in which I fried the garlic?

Hi Kathy, I'm sorry I'm just seeing this—yes, you are supposed to add all the garlic-infused shortening. It thickens up a lot as it cools—I hope yours did and that you liked it either way.

I'm trying this again because EVERYONE loved it - so unusual in my house. :) So maybe I'll see if the 2nd time around works better. Thanks for your reply.
