For size, either make 3/4 the recipe for 6 instead of 8, or make all, put appropriate amounts in the 6 you will be serving, and the last bit in another baking shape for the cook's use.
Timing- if you make full recipe, no change. If you make 3/4 recipe, not much less, since the baking time is mostly keyed to individual servings and only a little bit to the total mass.
