Do you think that this recipe would work with half and half instead of heavy cream?

My husband and I are lactose intolerant, and although low-lactose half and half can be purchased, heavy cream is not available in that form.

Hi Alice! I haven't tried it with half-and-half, but I imagine that could work since the flour is helping out as a thickener. Another thought is full-fat coconut milk or DIY cashew cream? If you give either a try, please let me know how it turns out!
