Im looking for help with a cooktop purchase

I need to buy a new cooktop, and was wondering about whether to stay with gas, which I have used my whole life, or switch to an induction cooktop/stove. Have people made that switch, and if so, do you like induction cooktops/stoves? Did you have to get new pots/pans?
