You can use just about any neutral or light flavored oil or fat to grease things to prevent sticking. You could use vegetable oil, shortening, lard, butter, ghee, or such. If you don't mind a slight coconut flavor, you could use coconut oil or butter. I wouldn't use olive oil, or sesame oil- or a nut oil like walnut - or old cooking fat/grease. It's your choice. You could also use a canned non-stick cooking oil spray. To grease the plastic, I use a piece of paper toweling moistened with my oil choice. Then lay the sheet of plastic out flat, and wipe the plastic with the towel, and place it greased side down on the dough. If you have the cooking spray, simply spray it and put the sprayed side down. If you have the room, once you have greased the baking sheet, you can also lay the sheet of plastic on that, and rub it slightly to grease the plastic. Set that aside, put the cut rolls on the sheet, and top with your plastic.
