Pan fried pork chops and mushroom gravy

I will be brining chops in salt water before cooking. I'm wondering if it would be possible to sautee the chops and add mushroom sauce ahead of guests arriving and reheat when time to serve. Would searing them and finish cooking in sauce when reheating be a good idea? Thank you!

Not familiar with the specific recipe you're working on but i did pretty much what you are suggesting with some chops the other night. Very quick pan sear 2-3 minutes per side (aim to keep the internal temp to below 100-105) then hold at room temp until finishing time. I would heat the sauce well before placing chops in a casserole with the sauce. Then finish the whole deal in a 375+ oven for 3-10 minutes (depends o how cool the chops have gotten) while you have a glass of bubbly with your guests. Internal temp of 137 for the chops will leave them pink and juicy.
