metallic taste from aluminum and lemon?
this cake pan looks like it’s aluminum, and i know my tube pan is. how are you not getting a metallic taste from the interaction with lemon? i really want to make this cake, but don’t want to waste the eggs if it will turn out inedible!

Those aluminum pans are coated with some other material, so you shouldn't have to worry about a reaction. I noticed in a video of Amanda making this cake that she's using a standard aluminum tube pan (the kind with the coating they all seem to have). If the cake tastes good to her, I'd have no concerns of an adverse reaction affecting the taste of the cake. ;o)
