How man ounces in frozen noodle blocks?

Trying to figure out how many ounces of noodles are in the 2 blocks of frozen noodles. I'd like to sub fresh in this recipe, and it's unclear what the amount should be.

If you buy the Japanese imports the standard commercial package has 5 portions (4 is an unlucky number in both Japan and China), each block being 250 g (about 8.8 oz) so the total is 1.25 kg.

So two blocks is 500 g.

Carefully consider this recipe's serving sizes. This is a very rich non-Japanese sauce (it's basically carbonara). I know a lot of Americans adore gutbuster portions of carbs but I don't count myself amongst them. My dinners trend heavily to smaller and lighter servings however I realize I'm in the minority here.

I'm not sure I could eat a 250 g portion of udon noodles in a sitting if it were served in a traditional broth/soup presentation as a one-bowl meal.

Anyhow just something to think about.
