would this work with different jam?

I have everything in the pantry to try this right now except strawberry jam - I only have apricot (...well, also blueberry and rhubarb, but I think the apricot is best choice of the three.) Given that it's going into a pretty bold mix, should still work, right?

Frankly, I think apricot would be better than any of the other choices, including strawberry. Apricot's somewhat tart notes work well in savory dishes. (I often make apricot mustard by stirring prepared dark mustard into homemade apricot jam.). ;o)

Don't see why not. Also, as it is small amount, there won't be much difference in taste
