Do these need to be eaten w/ a utensil or can they be a finger food? I’m not clear how sticky or messy they end up.

This is going to be *VERY* sticky just looking at the recipe ingredients and my experience with this type of sauce.

This is crystal clear at the 9:10 mark of the video. The preparation is really messy, unsurprisingly since it's basically Korean BBQ sauce.

If I wanted to offer this as a passed hors d'oeuvre at a cocktail reception, I'd serve this on bite-sized rice crackers or some other similar edible vehicle.

They’re coated in honey right at the end so they’re going to be pretty sticky. I’d serve them with small plates and a fork, or else with a warm damp towel on the side! 😜

Also looked up banchan, which Eric says (see his longish headnote) this is to be eaten as.
Banchan are a spread of side dishes, to eat as appetizer, topping for rice and/or throughout a meal.
Online source says they are served with spoons and/or chop sticks. But I have limited experience in Korean restaurants/meals, so will be happy to hear more info and/or corrections.
