Yes, those amounts on the video would be overwhelming (and would ruin the cake, for sure). ;o)

Agree I would have thought 1 T way too much but I have just been making Maida Heatter's famous Best Damn lemon cake in which she uses 2 Tablespoons lemon extract! It is quite delicious and lemon yummy.
