Looking at the recipe, I would think a short can of tomato sauce. Not at home, so can't look at a can... 4-6 ounces maybe? You don't want the tomato sauce to overwhelm the coconut.

Agree.
Start small, cook and taste.
Add more tomato sauce if you want.
Decide also on how concentrated or how soupy you want the whole dish to be.
