Best Small Frying Pan for Grilled Cheese

My grilled cheese/single egg pan has seen better days. what is the best pan to use for this? I have emotional attachment but it's my go-to pan.

From experience, I would recommend an 8” cast iron skillet.

It gives you great heat conduction, can also go under a grill, is lighter and easier to handle than larger diameter ones, and can be used for many other tasks. For example, morning eggs, warming up and/or crushing whole spices, cooking for one and crepes (what I bought mine for).

Some online articles recommend cast iron but smaller diameter….choose based on what you cook and think you’ll get more use out of.

Not to mention a cast iron pan will last forever, can easily be re-seasoned if necessary and doesn't off-gas any dangerous fumes if overheated.
