Can you put in clean sterilized jars without a water bath? And gift? How long will it stay good?

I suppose it could be kept in the refrigerator indefinitely but putting it in a stockpot and covering with water by two inch and boiling with the lid on is so easy and then you don’t have to be concerned about refrigeration. 🤷🏼‍♀️
