Here's the hummus recipe I use. It's very basic, but you can add your own twists on it...more garlic, red pepper, etc.
2 cloves garlic, chopped finely
1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans, half the liquid reserved
Juice from one lemon
2 tablespoons tahini
1 teaspoon salt
paprika to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
mint sprigs for garnish
Directions
Pour garbanzo beans with half the liquid into blender. Add lemon juice, tahini, chopped garlic and salt to blender and blend until smooth and well mixed.
Transfer the mixture to a medium serving bowl. Sprinkle with paprika and pour olive oil over the top. Garnish with mint sprigs.
