It sounds weird but adding hot water to the oat mixture before baking makes great #granola clumps #breakfast

How much do you add for roughly how many cups of solid ingredients?

For this batch I used 4 cups oats, 1/2 cup millet and 2 tbs flax, some cinnamon, ground ginger and salt. Then added about 1 1/2 cups hot tap water (to get the oats moist but not soggy) let it sit a few minutes then added a mixture of 1/3 cup honey, 2 tbs each brown sugar and olive oil that had been heated together. Baked at 300 F for 1.5- 2 hrs (it takes awhile to dry out and will get pretty dark, patience is important). I toasted the seeds/ nuts separately and then added them with dried fruit at the end. It's a variation of a recipe called "surfer's granola" from Bon Appetite.

We often use apple juice or hot chai tea in ours. Does make for good clumping action
