I am going to make that syrup and put it on everything! Well, maybe not everything, but definitely vanilla ice cream and in soda water or iced tea.

This sounds outrageously good. I'd be tempted to toss in some kaffir lime leaves with the pudding as it cooks, and forget the sauce. Can't wait to try.
