Viva Verde! Breakfast Smoothie

Author Notes: All my favorite ingredients in one glass - kale, blueberries, almonds, cinnamon and more! I make smoothies practically every day, and this is the one I go to when I'm feeling the most 'green deprived'. It's beautiful, delicious and super easy to make - even when you're late for work...which I usually am! ;)Lindsay Appel

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups Almond milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 4 Kale leaves
  • 1/2 cup Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Flax meal (optional)
  • 3 Ice cubes
  • Handful Almonds
  • Handful Pumpkin seeds

Directions

  1. De-stem the kale, peel the banana and throw everything into a blender. Blend on high for about 30 seconds and serve!
