Balsamic mushroom glaze

Serves: 5


  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste


  1. On stove heat garlic on medium high heat for about a minute. Add mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes or until they start to get tender
  2. Add balsamic vinegar and let simmer, adding water if need to thin about some. Salt and pepper are added next to taste. Let reduce for about 10 minutes, and pour on top of meat, vegetables, or the above mentioned mashed potatoes.
