During a cold, blustery windstorm with the power flickering off and on, inevitably trending toward off, I wanted a hot toddy but had neither whiskey nor lemons on hand. I needed to get creative. I had a quart jar of cherry-infused Bulleit Bourbon from my summer preserving, which I paired with honey, water, and one drop of cardamom bitters for that perfect fall flavor. —LittleKi

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 drop cardamom bitters
  • 2 ounces cherry-infused bourbon or whiskey
  • 8 ounces hot water
Directions
  1. Heat water.
  2. Add honey, cardamom bitters, and cherry-infused bourbon to a mug.
  3. Add water to ingredients in mug and stir with a spoon. Enjoy!
