Maple Syrup

Tomato soup with truffle oil

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups homemade organic tomato puree
  • 4-5 cups water or stock
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup ( optional )
  • 2 tablespoons white truffle oil
Directions
  1. In a pot heat the oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour and stir.
  3. Add the stock or water, tomatoes,salt and pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning, add maple syrup.
  7. Before serving add truffle oil.
  8. Serve warm.
