Making this with a friend this weekend. Could the Crema & slaw be made a day ahead? Thanks

Hi Cailin! Absolutely for the slaw. I think the creme is best made fresh — it loses a little bit of its vibrancy after a day or two in the fridge. That said, it certainly won't go bad if you make it a day in advance, so go for it if that's what's best for timing purposes.

it is also good to substitute the sour cream with greek yogui and omit the buttermilk for a bit healthier version

Excellent slaw, but I do not like sweet slaw, so I used only a teaspoon of sugar.

First of all I am not a fan of coleslaw. This recipe may have changed my mind. I took it to a potluck last night. My husband overheard a guest saying it was the best coleslaw he had ever had! Have you made it with red cabbage before?

So happy to hear this, Diana! I have not made it with red cabbage, but I can't image it being anything but delicious. Go for it!

Awesome slaw! I used it for fish taco's, I added some Penzeys Chipotle seasoning for some heat it was awesome!

Yum! Love the idea of spicing this up a bit. I need to stock up on some Penzeys spices—they are so good.
