Cold Brew Negroni

Test Kitchen-Approved

Author Notes: "Coffee really lends something to this cocktail. Many versions replace an ingredient with coffee, but I think that knocks the drink out of kilter. An equal measure of cold brew adds another dimension without destroying the equilibrium." -- Chloë Callow in 'Cold Brew Coffee: Techniques, Recipes, & Cocktails for Coffee's Hottest Trend'Food52

Food52 Review: Chloë Callow recommends Antica Formula vermouth because its richness counteracts the bitterness of the coffee. We used La Copa Vermouth, which worked well.Stephanie Bourgeois

Love a good negroni and think I’ll try to make this- thoughts on switching in some homemade Kahlua for the cold brew?

My concern is that that's a lot of sugar at that point. But, if you tried it, how was it?

You're absolutely right-it was too much sugar and I didn't like it enough to try to tinker with the remainder of the ingredients (did briefly think of decreasing vermouth).
