This is a highly customizable recipe so feel free to adjust ingredient ratios to suit your taste buds. The nutmeg adds a bit of spiciness which makes for a yummy combo with the carob powder.

Ingredients
-
1 cup
Water
-
1/2 cup
quick rolled oats (gluten free)
-
1/2 tablespoon
carob powder
-
1 teaspoon
raw agave
-
1/8 teaspoon
cinnamon
-
1/8 teaspoon
nutmeg
-
1/4 teaspoon
vanilla extract
-
1
banana
-
goji berries for garnish
Directions
-
Boil water and stir in the oats. I didn’t feel like using a pot so I took a shortcut and used an electric kettle. Cover the oats for 5 min till they “cook.” Add the rest of the ingredients except banana and goji berries, and stir well. Layer sliced banana and goji berries on top.
-
Substitute: cacao powder for carob powder; milk of your choice for water. As you can imagine substituting will alter the taste slightly but that’s the fun of playing around with different ingredients.
