Zingy Asian Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  • Pork Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Pork
  • 2 tablespoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Carrot
  • 1/2 cup Cucumber, cut into matchsticks
  • 1/2 cup Red pepper, cut into thin slices
  • 1/2 Lime, cut into wedges
  • Sriracha or other chili sauce
  • 8-10 Leaves of butter lettuce
Directions
  1. In a small jar, mix together Tamari or soy sauce, hoisin sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil. Shake and set aside.
  2. Heat up a teaspoon of sesame oil in a sauté pan over medium heat.
  3. While pork is cooking, thinly slice your red pepper and cut cucumber into thin matchsticks.
  4. Prepare other toppings and rinse off outer leaves of a head of butter lettuce
  5. When pork is almost cooked, pour over sauce and continue cooking until sauce is absorbed into pork.
  6. To serve, spoon pork mixture into lettuce cup and top with vegetables of your choice and some Sriracha style hot sauce
