Or alternate between enjoying a big bite of cookie followed by a cold swig of your sweet and creamy cereal milk. However you like your milk and cookies, cereal milk takes it to a whole new level. —Carissa Erzen

What You'll Need
  • 4 cups oat milk
  • 3 cups your favorite cereal (fruit loops, cocoa puffs, corn flakes, cinnamon toast crunch, etc.)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free baking flour blend
  • ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoons sea salt
  • ½ cups butter or vegan butter, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cups brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cups cane sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons cereal milk
  • ¾ cups chocolate chips
  • ¾ cups rolled oats
  1. First, make the cereal milk. Pour the oat milk and cereal into a large jar or pitcher. Swirl it around and let it soak on the counter for about 20 minutes, while you begin preparing your cookies.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a small mixing bowl. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the soft butter with the sugars until it is creamy.
  3. Strain the oat milk, which is now cereal milk and infused with the flavor of your cereal, into a bowl or large pitcher.
  4. Add in the vanilla extract and cereal milk to the butter and sugar and mix until it is creamy again and becomes fluffy.
  5. Mix in the flour blend and stir with a spoon by hand until it's just combined and you don't see any more dry flour. Stir in the chocolate chips and the oats.
  6. Scoop the cookie dough and shape into balls. Place them about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes, until the edges are golden but the center is still soft. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. Pour yourself a tall glass of your homemade cereal milk and use it to dunk your cookies or just sip alongside your sweet treat.
