A light, but hearty pasta dish made with angel hair pasta, Italian chicken sausage, onions, peppers, white wine, and fresh basil. —Dash of Amy
Ingredients

16 ounces
angel hair pasta, cooked and strained

1 tablespoon
olive oil (1 tsp for later)

5 teaspoons
Italian chicken sausages, cut in slices

red onion, sliced thin

orange pepper, cut in thin strips

3
garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup
white wine
-
4 cups
chicken broth
-
2 teaspoons
salt

1/2 teaspoon
black pepper

basil leaves, finely chopped

1/2 cup
fresh Parmesan cheese
Directions

Cook the pasta, drizzle with olive oil, and place in a large baking dish. (BE CAREFUL TO NOT OVERCOOK!)

Heat a deep skillet, add olive oil and sausages; cook until browned 4-5 minutes.

Move the sausages to one side of the pan, drizzle other side with 1 tsp olive oil, add onions and peppers.

Cook about 1-2 minutes, then add the garlic.

Cook 2-3 minutes until peppers begin to soften.

Add the white wine, broth, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.

Let flavors blend for a couple of minutes, then add the fresh basil.

Pour sausage mixture over the pasta, mix well, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Serve immediately!
