Author Notes

Balanced and refreshing, this cocktail puts a spin on the classic with Maker’s Mark 46® bourbon and a not-so-secret ingredient (hello, bubbles). As a sparkling sipper, it’s a great foil to the decadent dairy in Nini Nguyen’s light and airy Cheesy Grits Soufflé. —Food52
