recipe Five Marys sungold tomato jam*
Directions
-
Heat oven to 350°F.
-
Combine the beef and Five Mary's Spice Mix in a bowl.
-
Line a 9x13-inch tray with parchment with at least 2 inches of overhang on two sides (this will help you lift out the burger out).
-
Press the beef into the bottom of the lined pan in an even layer. (Make sure to bring it to the edges since the beef will shrink as it bakes.) Brush with olive oil. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
-
Bake the burger for 15 minutes. Once slightly cool, lift the burger by the parchment and set aside. Drain any liquid left behind in the pan.
-
Slice the rolls in half lengthwise, leaving the top and bottom layers as intact as possible. Brush the bottom of the pan with olive oil, then place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Evenly spread the tomato jam over the bottom half of the rolls (you will most likely have some tomato jam left over). Top with the burger patty, and layer the cheese slices to cover. Add bacon jam evenly to the top of the cheese (again, you may have some left over). Top with the burger bun tops.
-
Place back in the oven, about 4 to 5 minutes, just to melt the cheese. Take out and serve immediately with ketchup and mustard or whatever condiments you may like to have.
