My kitchen is always ten times hotter when the oven is on—especially during the summer. I often question if I really want to cook on those steamy days. It's then I turn to desserts that require a little more work than waiting for them to chill in the refrigerator or freezer. For those of us who love their kitchen no matter the temperature, no-bake desserts mean we can spend less time at the oven and more time outside (or in front of the air conditioner) during long summer days and warm summer nights.

I'm happy to report it works well with fresh, too! The buttermilk and the mint definitely pull their weight in the recipe—it's a special milkshake. (This roundup does assume you already have the roasted berries.)
