My mom came to visit from Tennessee and we spent the long weekend exploring the Hudson Valley—hitting up every antique store, river view, and historic estate that we passed. This turquoise tree grate at Kykuit, the Rockefeller estate near Sleepy Hollow, was just one of many modern inspirations we came upon in an area that so often—and awesomely—feels untouched by time. —Amanda
