Watch Our Founders Go Head-to-Head in An Egg Battle

We paired up with All-Clad to invite chefs from around the country to cook with us in our test kitchen—but today, we're putting our co-founders Amanda and Merrill front and center. They're sharing two of their favorite egg cooking techniques by using the All-Clad Egg Perfect Pan.

How you take your eggs may be as telling of a question as, say, if you drink coffee black or with cream (or decaf, poor souls), or what you prefer on your toast.

In this video of Amanda and Merrill, Amanda gleefully challenges Merrill to an egg showdown. She shares her tips on how to make a quick revueltos—scrambled eggs—with chorizo, and why you don't whisk the eggs before you add them to the pan. And even though there are many ways to fry an egg, Merrill lets you in why using olive oil is one of her favorite methods.

Eggs are definitely on my "desert island" grocery list, so I will have to try both of these recipes. I know I'll love Amanda's because, hello?, spicy pork! Merrill's egg is the one I'm on the fence about; it looks delicious, yet I can't imagine how olive oil could beat out delicious butter for frying an egg. Looks like tomorrow morning requires a fried egg contest (olive oil vs butter) in my kitchen!
