There are two types of burger people—the ones who prefer the purest, simplest salt-and-pepper-seasoned burgers and the ones who load their patties sky high with layers of toppings and condiments. This Sweet and Savory Burger with Fig Jam, Goat Cheese, and Arugula is for those who need to have it all on their burgers.
Sweet fig jam slicks the hamburger buns and balances the heat of the crushed red chile in the patty, while tangy goat cheese and arugula pull the sweet and savory elements together. The play of flavor combinations here might turn even the purest of burger fans into fans of the piled-high ones!
