15 Cyber Monday Sales We're Shrieking About

November 28, 2016

Happy Cyber Monday! Are you wearing your pill-iest, softest old holiday sweater to celebrate? (I am—it's got a fluffy white cat in the middle and peppermints swirling all about—and I'm not sorry even though my coworkers are.)

Perhaps you're not yet "in the mood" for carols on the radio and pine needles all over your floor, for coats-with-hoods season and peppermint-flavored everything. That's quite alright. This is a safe space for grinches. So much so that we rounded up a list that'll have even the blackest-hearted cynics humming "Joy the the World": 15 Cyber Monday sales worth shrieking about. Oh yeah, and we even included snacks for sustaining you during this shop-a-thon!

Today isn't just any Monday, it's Cyber Monday—so go shopping. Here's where we're putting our hard-earned dollars today (gifts!):

20% off at the Food52 Shop with the code "GIVECHEER"

Did you really think I wasn't going to mention this? 20% off is as big of a discount as we've ever offered in our Shop—so if you've been eyeing a new kitchen knife, or a set of perfectly rumpled linen sheets (king or queen), or even a new set of dinnerware, today's The Day.

20% off at Mouth.com with the code "MONDAY20" + free shipping on orders over $100

The curated food-gift website is a great destination for stocking stuffers and "thinking of you" gifts even without a discount, but if you're thinking of splurging on one of their subscriptions—be that whiskey of the month, bacon of the month, or the guaranteed-to-please "Best of Mouth" option—it's going to be that much sweeter at 80% of its asking price today.

20% off at the MoMa Store online with the code "SHIPGIFTS" + free shipping on all orders

For museum-worthy, designer-made accents, the MoMa Store is hard to beat—and 20% off makes a big difference if you're looking to snag a set of new fiberglass Eames chairs or Arne Jacobsen flatware. (Though all their odds and ends for the desktop, kitchen, and countertop make the best—and often cheekiest—gifts!)

Eames Molded Fiberglass Side Chair

30% off at Domino.com with the code "CYBER30"

Yes, you love reading Domino for all kind of interiors eye candy—but did you know they have an online shop that stocks a whole lot of home decor brands, too? I'd head straight for any bigger ticket furnishings (be that a fancy floor lamp or a fancy dining table) you've been eyeing, as this is their "biggest sale ever".

50% off at Matteo.com + free shipping on orders of $250 or more

In a dream world, we'd all have eco-friendly, small batch bedding—and today is dream day. If you're in Los Angeles, Matteo's in-store discount is currently at a freak-out-worthy 90% off, but at 50% off the online version is one of the highest discounts we've seen today. Shop their crisp sheets, plush duvet covers, and even yards of their environmentally-friendly fabrics at half off.

20% off at HapticLab.com with the code "HAPTICHOLIDAYS" + free shipping on orders over $150

We first encountered Haptic Lab because of excitement around their constellation quilts, which depict star patterns, but are now as equally in love with their city quilts, coastal quilts, and baby quilts. Their code isn't advertised on site, but our editor Lindsay Jean spotted it in one of their morning emails.

20% off at Glossier + free shipping on all orders

The skincare and makeup sister brand to beauty-lovers' publication Into the Gloss, Glossier first hooked us with the perfectly deadpan but loveable tone of their emails—and everything they make seems to work wonders on our skin.

20% off at OutdoorVoices.com with code "Hey-Hi-Hello"

Forget that the term athleisure was one of the worst inventions of 2016—it resulted in softer, stretchier, more tailored clothes that you can wear out in public without worrying you appear to be in pajamas. Outdoor Voices wins at this game, and today their gear is 20% off online.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer
Outdoor Voices Hoodie

$50 off Sonos PLAY:1 Speakers at Amazon

Our Senior Product Designer, Ryan Hamilton, brought it to my attention that Sonos has docked 25% off the price of their PLAY:1 speakers through the end of today—and that it's the biggest discount they've ever offered on them. Buy two and surround sound is yours! (They're out of stock on Sonos.com, but still available though Amazon.)

60% off Kitchenaid's Professional 6-Quart Mixer in Red at Amazon

Another specific Amazon deal we're all over: This glossy red Kitchenaid stand mixer is 60% off until the end of the day.

20% off at Anthropologie.com + 30% off on sale items + free shipping on orders over $150

Yes, you could use this discount to get a cart full of peasant shirts and dresses, but we're more keen on their homewares: ceramic knobs for your kitchen cabinets, throw pillows of all walks, and even table lamps.

Anthropologie Table Lamp
Best Made Co Toolbox

25% off at Best Made Co. with code "25X24" + free shipping on orders over $150 in the USA

One of our favorite places to shop refined, but hardworking gear—think lighters, pocketknives, axes, toolboxes, and flashlights that you'll be so proud of you'll want to hang them on the wall as art. And you'll be able to pass them on to your kids.

25% off at Madewell.com with code "CYBERMONDAY"

We've always been fond of J.Crew's casual tomboy little sis Madewell, so today we're stocking up on all the high-rish skinny jeans we can stuff in our (digital) basket.

30% off at Riflepaper.com

Yes, this Florida-based print shop makes adorable stationery, and calnedars, and even wallpaper—but perhaps their best-loved niche products are their floral-patterened iPhone covers. Stocking stuffer alert!

No Sale at Super Good Thing

Wait, what? Instead of offering a big promotion, they'll be donating 30% of today's proceeds to Planned Parenthood. If that isn't a reason to finally spring for their "Folded Vessel"—dream home for any and all magazines, books, or other coffee table clutter—we don't know what is. (No matter your politics!)

Readers like me who really like stretching their dollars will appreciate that Whole Foods Market is now matching 1:6 donations made by customers at checkout to that store's local food bank. In other words, for every dollar you donate, they match it with 6, for a total donation of $7. This will continue through Christmas. I was told by customer service in the Oakland store that this is a nationwide giving campaign by WFM.
It would be nice if Food52 published and promoted via social media a piece on this, to reach more people --> more contributions --> fewer children will go to bed hungry, at least in the short term. Thank you. ;o)
