And while we don’t want to divert you away from cakes and quick breads entirely, in an effort to plan ahead—especially for library reserving and book purchasing and shipping purposes—we want you to take a moment to vote for the cookbooks we’ll all explore together in the coming months.

Brown butter-crispy rice treats from the @flourbakeryandcafe cookbook, page 133 . Rice Krispies Treats are one of my favorite comfort foods, and this particular version is the best I've ever had. To start, the amount of butter and marshmallows is 1.5 times that of the classic recipe found on the back of the box. For the Food52 Baking Club for August we are baking from @flourbakeryandcafe's book 📚 Flour by Joanne Chang... For my first recipe I just baked these Black Sesame Lace Cookies. These delicate cookies are akin to Florentines and they are so delicious!! I love Black Sesame Seeds 🖤and I use them a lot in my Baking and Cooking, naturally I chose this recipe... This cookie tastes like Caramel Candy Brittle and makes a great accompaniment to a scoop of Ice Cream 🍨... You'll love these!
