A couple weeks ago, we announced our latest contest theme—bananas and plantains!—and the submissions thus far have been very apeeling. Hehe! But this is serious. Here at Food52, we like our competitions fierce. Which is why we’re checking in, giving a lil’ nudge, a string around the finger, to remind you: The deadline for submitting to Your Best Banana or Plantain Recipe Contest closes on Saturday, March 31 at 6 p.m.
You can scout out the competition at the recipe contest page. And for some extra inspiration, here are some of our beloved banana and plantain recipes already on the website. We’re looking for well-executed classics—and reinvented ones—sweet or savory, and any ripeness goes. Now, stop monkeying around and go submit!
