Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it's about cool people doing cool things with food. This week, an illustrated cookbook of Latin foods.
Marcella Kriebel is an artist and a food-lover, and she's combined these two passions quite gorgeously in her Kickstarter-proposed cookbook. (Which we're gunning to get our hands on once it's funded, incidentally.)
We love sharing recipes with stories behind them -- Marcella has collected all of hers from her travels (and host families) throughout Central and South America. Everything from Ecuadorian street food to Mexican sopa azteca, plus more than a few salsas, is accompanied by her beautiful watercolor illustrations. We're especially eager to read the kitchen tips she's gleaned from her Latin host mothers.
Check out her Kickstarter page below, and pitch in to get your hands on a first edition! You could even get an exclusive recipe or a perfectly framable print.
