Tonight's dinner is a celebration of warmer weather, spring vegetables, and simply good food. Radishes are excellent straight from the soil, but a quick sauté and a sprinkle of mint helps soothe and cool their bite, transforming them into a subtle and elegant side. Sugar steak, something that everybody should know about, makes for a fantastic main attraction for this spring-centric and easy to make dinner. Plus, we all deserve a nice steak once in a while!

The Grocery List
Serves 3 to 4
1 flank steak (about 1 1/2 pounds)
1/4 cup bourbon
1 pound radishes
2 tablespoons mint (roughly chopped)
1/4 cup light brown sugar
We're guessing you have salt, red pepper flakes, olive oil, butter, and black pepper -- if not, you'll be needing those too!
The Plan
1. Get started on the marinade for the steak (it should marinate at least 30 minutes -- great time to pour a bourbon!).
2. Clean and prepare the radishes for sautéing.
3. Broil the steak (or grill it -- if it's not 40 degrees where you are) and let it rest for 10 minutes while you sauté the radishes in the butter.
4. Slice and serve the steak, sprinkle the mint on the radishes and finally, enjoy dinner!
