We always eat well at Food52 (thanks in part to your recipes) -- but this past week has been especially delicious. There have been pies, and galettes, and burgers, and s'mores -- an in-office celebration of the late summer months. And, per usual, we've been washing everything down with good coffee. Our intern Sarah (a.k.a. SJ) made Melissa Clark's Tomato Crostata last week -- just for fun. It was gone within minutes, and tasted like something between a pizza and a cheesy shortbread and a savory tart. Take heed: make this before the tomatoes disappear.
And then there was a veggie burger. A sexy veggie burger. Skeptics, stay tuned -- we'll be sharing a recipe shortly.
Inspired by Yossy Arefi's new column, Kenzi and Marian made a peach lattice-top pie last Friday. Consider it their happy hour.
One huge benefit of having Provisions samples in the office? Eating them. Brette made a big tray of s'mores with our handy kit.
And finally, Nick from Stumptown coffee came into the office to share his expertise and wake us up this morning. Nick, our productivity levels thank you.
