The Food52 office is a little different from most offices. It's not rare to find endless stacks of cookbooks piled on desks, coworkers holding an impromptu meeting while cooking lunch together, or 5 PM Campari Shandys.
Need more proof? Here are a few examples from the past week:
We don't have a watercooler. Instead, our staff chats about the latest episode of Breaking Bad while refilling a 2.5-gallon jug of olive oil.
Our technical difficulties probably look a little different than yours. (See also: getting our wires crossed.)
Afternoon snacks at Food52 don't come from vending machines. Erin brought in these corn cakes on Tuesday, and served them with crème fraîche and honey. Get her recipe here.
When a birthday rolls around, we don't order a rectangular layer cake with icing flowers. Our celebrations, while still marked by reluctant "Happy Birthday to You" singing, include charcuterie, Baked Ricotta and Goat Cheese with Candied Tomatoes, and Rebujitos. Also, lots of Instagramming. (Happy Birthday, Amanda!)
