What a great post, I'm a huge fan of Manger and Smitten Kitchen, I found Manger through the latest Bon Appetit magazine which had a very nice article from Amanda Hesser herself about Friday night entertaining, I loved it, I read it while getting ready to have a dinner at a friends house two Saturdays ago, then the next day I read about Manger and spend six hours reading the site. I just made a dessert from this Manger blog post, the Teurgoule which bakes 8 cups of milk into some arborio rice with sugar and cinnamon for 5 hours at 300 degrees. I just took pictures of it, looks amazing, Mimi has some good ones on there.. I have also been pouring over my last purchase, the New York Times Cookbook since Friday, made the fried chick peas and the David Eyre pancake..yum.. I cant wait to read and eat through this book, I want to make everything and its so well written and put together.
It's been a great Food52 weekend for me, these blogs will be nice as a good finish. I apologize for the long post, I get too food excited!
