I am baking a cheese cake and don't have any nutmeg. Will cinnamon be a good replacement?
they're totally different flavors, Cinnamon has a sweetish zing, while nutmeg is a lot 'muskier' . the overall effect would be much more vibrant with Cinnamon

Panfusine is exactly right they are on totally different ends of the spectrum with regards to taste its a completely different flavor, but would probably taste good.
