Have to bring an appetizer for New Years Eve, any suggestions for something new and delicious?

I think a large appetizer platter would be fun. There will be 10 people.

Stuff pitted dates with stilton, wrap with prosciutto or bacon - bake until 75% done, then reheat before serving.
