More fat and less beef flavor in corn fed beef. Most agree the flavor is better when meat is bought from a beef farmer or rancher that knows what they are doing. Grass finished is more difficult and varies by the season and year - almost like good wine. Some vintages are better than others.

There's more marbeling in grain fed, meaning more fat and more flavor. Many people choose grass fed for reasons other than taste. If you uncertain ask your butcher or the meat manager at your market.

There is a slight variation between the two, it takes a but if a trained eye to tell the difference. I worked in a steakhouse for about 4 years so I can see it almost immediately when I see it. Grass fed beef tends to have a darker burgundy color, it almost like buffalo in color. Grain fed beef tends to look much more pink like beef you might see everyday in the market, or the color you see in ground beef. Hope this helps, it really is just about training your eye. Enjoy
