I have a question about the ingredient "can tomato cubes" on the recipe "Bean pot" from Janneke Verheij. what are they?
I'm guessing canned, diced tomatoes, which would mean you can use whole canned tomatoes and chop them. That would be my preference. San marzanos are great.

A word on "San Marzanos". The imported san marzanos from Campania are superb but be aware that there is a domestic label that uses "San Marzano" as a brand name. They actually come from Arizona.
