A question about a recipe: Spatchcocked and Braise-Roasted Chicken

Just wondering if I should be basting the chicken periodically with the liquid? Thanks!

Yes, not necessary but helpful if you think of it!

Basting helps to brown the chicken and keep the meat moist - so it's always a good idea.
