Caramel from condensed milk

How can I make caramel from condensed milk?

Yes. Take a can. Put it in a pot with water to cover. Simmer, don't allow to boil. Simmer for three hours.

I've been doing this since I was a kid- very reliable, but it may take longer than you expect. Just keep cooking- it always works well!
