Try your local Asian market. They commonly sell it by the boxful.

Could be tough. A Asian store that specializes in Indian or thai will somtimes have the whole pods. Most is sold in a paste with the seeds and 'meat' of the pod usually in the chilled section. You soak those and pick out the seeds and strain out the paste.
