smaller cakes

how do I make as make smaller cakes like cheesecake or flourless chocolate cake for 4 people. I am tired of making 9 " cakes.

Why not try six inch pans? You can cut recipes down--use the volume of each pan to figure out what the fraction of ingredients to use should be.
