Store almond meal.

I would store almond meal tightly wrapped in the fridge if you aren't planning on using it up quickly. Otherwise, it will keep in your pantry for a month or so before becoming rancid.
I don't freeze much, but I store almond meal and nuts I use for baking in the freezer.

All nuts are best stored in the fridge or freezer including meals/flours and nut oils (fridge for that one).
(And the creamiest, too.)
